Here at IRPP we say "True that" to that!
All the stories in our Series; "Once upon a Lullaby" are classics that have stood the test of time.

SCRIPT COPY SEGMENT......
Music: Rare Old Times piano theme tune plays opening 16 bars and continues underneath vox to replay at DK break;
Advert / Sponsor time space: 3 minutes, 30 seconds (approximately): top & tail.
DK: I´m here on a café terrace, drinking café con leche under a watery winter sun
and chatting to bestselling Irish novelist Glenn Meade - about books, writing, and living beyond the norm. I´ll be employing all my well-honed interview techniques in search of who he really is - what´s the secret to his success and what´s the possibility of him letting slip a guilty pleasure or two.
Besides such intrigue we also get to hear the musical soundtrack from the life and times of the Dublin scribbler - which can tell us all a thing or several about a lad.
DK: So, there you go and you´re all very welcome to: Raised on Songs & Stories

CONVERSATIONS TO CONCEPTS
Creative ideas tend to result from challenging conversations. Of course individuals can have a Newton or Edison moment - though they're generally talking to themselves when they do.
Our writer's room often hosts challenging conversations - as well as some scribblers talking to themselves (or the wall). It's a stimulating asylum where conceptual ideas are sought, offered, rejected and embraced - if you're a serious writer you will love it.
All of which is a tardy effort to invite budding radio script writers to get in touch if they're up to enduring the unbearable lightness of being, (when swimming among the sharks of competitive conversation), in pursuit of a good idea!
How about listening to an episode of an IRPP show and writing a new episode based on its structure, content and style - then stick it on a PDF, attach it to our contact form and we'll throw it into the melting pot of the writer's room.
I promise we'll give it a fair gander - sure you never know what'll happen after that?
